Hello everyone! It’s a new year, and I’m seventeen with some repeating goals.
One of them is seeing the world through missions and God’s Word. I’m heading back to Peru for the third time! I’m extremely excited to return, as I left a big chunk of my heart there with the people. Just like the first year I went, none of my family is going. I’ll be alone—aside from the 20 or so people going with me from my church. I’m looking forward to seeing old friends, making new memories, and watching God move in unique ways.
This time, I’ll be there from June 16th to June 26th, including travel. Once again, this is a short-term missions trip to serve with the People of Peru Project. The People of Peru Project is an organization stationed in Iquitos, Peru, dedicated to helping spread the Gospel to the people of Peru. We will be staying with them, and they will give us a hoard of things to do while we’re there. These jobs will include construction, praying, food distribution, teaching, and healing. Something I’m especially excited about is that we will be going into the Amazon jungle to teach local tribes about the good news of God.
Now comes the hard part: money. Airline tickets are quite costly, especially to a place like Peru. My goal is to raise around a thousand dollars. If you are called to missions but can’t serve directly or haven’t had the chance yet, you can still serve. Donating money to help missionaries reach foreign lands is an amazing way to make an impact. Missionaries depend on their family, friends, and community to help them reach their goals. So if you would like to help send me to Peru, please donate whatever amount you feel led to give. I am thankful for every dollar!
