Greetings,
I’m excited to share that this June, I will be joining a group from The Journey Church in Boise on a short-term mission trip to Iquitos, Peru, serving with the People of Peru Project.
I had the privilege of meeting Paul Opp, who leads the People of Peru Project, a couple of years ago. Since then, I’ve watched their team touch the lives of many—often from the comfort of my own easy chair. But that’s about to change.
I’ve felt a desire to be involved in foreign missions since I first read the story of Jim Elliot as a child. Now, as life shifts from raising children and caring for grandparents to becoming a grandparent myself, I sense that God is opening the door for me to engage more directly in mission work.
This opportunity is both exciting and a bit daunting, but I’m confident that this is a step of obedience—an opportunity to serve those who have not had the same privileges I’ve been afforded.
I’m asking for your support, especially through prayer. Please pray for:
Safe and smooth travels
Good health
Personal growth
Strengthened bonds with my church family
And that God will light the path before me
If you would like to offer financial support, please know that the overall cost of the trip is significant, and any contributions are greatly appreciated. If I receive more than I need personally, the extra funds will go to support others on the team or directly to the People of Peru Project.
Thank you for joining me in this adventure—your support and prayers help make the seemingly impossible possible.
If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out. I’d love to talk more about it with you.

Thank you all,
Travis Jackson
